Bogus??

I'm not sure if thats how you spell "bogus", but give me a break, I've been speaking Spanish for 5 months!  Anyway that's how I would describe this week, work wise. Also, this will not be a long letter because we worked two half days this week, and didnt have lessons those days...

So Tuesday we had our huge misión Christmas party! It was a lot of fun and I dressed up like Santa which was pretty cool. But it got bloody hot in that costume real fast! We got home around 9 that night.

Wednesday we worked pretty hard with little success and at 4:00 we got a call that we would be caroling at 5:00. So we left right then to get there on time. It was alright, but I would have rather worked than sang my heart out.

Thursday was another half day without success. But i lied. We had one lesson! It was with Laura and she is great!! She asked great questions and is progressing really good! Please if you would keep her in your prayers!

Friday, we didnt work for Christmas. We had breakfast with our zone first thing and after we went to Amecameca with our zone leaders to hang out. It ended up pretty awesome because a member gave us money for food and told us we could stay at their house. They then left. So what did I do? I harassed their 7 cats for an hour with a nerf gun. We were laughing so hard!!! Then we finished with some Chinese food. That came back to haunt me...

Saturday, so I woke up and puked my guts out. Great way to start it off.  It was the Chinese! What was I thinking? Chinese in Mexico..? I spent the day in bed until about 4 when we got ready for our baptism. Marsela and Diego got baptized and I was able to baptize Diego.  It was awesome!!! I was so happy and it was very spiritual! And, Laura came!!!  She told us after seeing that she wanted to be baptized #blessed

Once again I testify of our Fathers in heavens love for us! Thank you all for your prayers!!!

Def Leppard once said...

"I can’t stop the hurt inside, when love and hate collide." I’m going to be honest, I cried the first time I heard that song, but I also cried this week and I’ll tell you why right now.

Monday night after p day we were just wondering looking for anyone to teach. So we tried a reference that we had. Her name is Laura. So we went, she opened the door, and next thing we know, we are teaching her about the family and she accepted to be baptized, and we had a lesson scheduled the next day! It was nuts! We were blessed that night by the lord with someone to who is ready to be baptized!

Tuesday, like I said, we had our lesson with our Laura and it was a church tour! She told us that she wanted to change and thinks this is the change for her! BOOM! That was awesome to hear! Also, this same day began a giant, week long party in a large part of my area. we avoided it at all costs because we didn’t want to be shanked.

Wednesday, the part got even bigger. I don’t know how to explain in words how big this party is... We didn’t have any lessons and we stopped working at six because we wanted to continue living. So we sat in our house like a couple of little old ladies just listening to the thousands of explosions going off outside.

Thursday is the day I cried. We had one lesson, but the person didn’t accept anything. So after we got home we got a call from Hector. We were excited because we hadn’t heard much from him since he got his new job as police, but then we got hit hard. He told us he still wanted to be baptized, but he would be able to until next year with his job. He doesn’t have a break and we don’t know when is break day will be for next year either. I tell you what, Def Leppard is so right and honestly speaks to my soul as I cried a little that night.

Friday we had two great lessons. One with Laura! three in one week!!! And the other was with Marcela and Diego! I am so stoked to see them baptized and I can’t wait to keep helping Laura progress!!!

Saturday was amazing! We took Marcela and Diego, and another family to the temple! We got to see the temple lights and went through the visitor’s center! It was way more spiritual than I thought it would be and totally worth the drive there! not to mention the lights were beautiful!!!

And Sunday we got to see the dedication of the Mexico Tijuana temple! It was done by President Uchdorf and elder Oaks! Uchdorf was very funny and at one point he said to a kid that was putting a ton of cement in the stone, "Ok, I think that’s good. We are not trying to rebuild the temple!" It was hilarious!!

Well, that my week. that you for your prayers of safety because we needed them this week!

A week full of surprises is how I would describe this week

Let’s start on Tuesday. Good day, pretty average, but none the less a good day. We ended it with Hector and a testimony meeting lesson at a member’s house.  It was very spiritual! And he is so ready to be baptized!

Wednesday is when things started to happen. I woke up at 12:38 in the morning to my comp vomiting his guts out. He then proceeded to vomit for the next 5 hours off and on. So we called the doctor and he came over. Next he told him he would need a shot. So he whips out his bag of goodies and I told them I would be in the other room so I wouldn’t pass out. He ended up with a shot in his behind. That was pretty funny!  Needless to say we stayed in the house that day.

Thursday was awesome! We were in a different city all day at a missionary conference with a member of the 70! It was great and I actually learned a lot even though it was in Spanish!  Later that night we found out some news. Héctor would not be getting baptized that week. It’s dumb and complicated, but he can’t be baptized this week because we have the temple dedication of Tijuana this Sunday. So that means he’ll be baptized on the 19 of this month... good times.

Saturday we started by finishing the service Project we started last week with the painting!  It looked pretty fantastic if I do say so myself.  Later that night we had a lesson with Marcela and Diego. We were teaching the plan of salvation and the part of the degrees of glory. Diego then asked us why we don’t all just kill ourselves to get there now! It was pretty funny!

And lastly, Sunday was pretty good. We had church and didn’t manage to have a lesson, but that night we went to the stake center to watch the Christmas special conference thing. I don’t remember the name in English.
