Alright! Sit down and listen up! It's Email time!!!
Great
week full of awesomeness!!! I would like to start off with a little
spiritual thought that happened to me this week. So, I know God is there
without a doubt. But I just felt like he wasn't showing much love for me
and I couldn't figure out why. Then, we had a zone activity the other
day and I was thinking about how much I love these guys and how lucky I
am to be in this zone. Then it hit me. Most of them speak only Spanish... but we still have a great relationship and can totally
understand each other. I then realized, that was God who gave me the
ability to communicate with these amazing people!!! So if you ever want
to see our Heavenly Father in your life, just open your eyes. He is
right there.
So
we have just under 2 weeks until Hector is baptized!!! And we had two
more people early in the week commit to baptism! They are amazing and we have
had great lessons with them and have not had even one doubt with them!
And later that day, I got bit by a Saint Bernard! It was huge! But it
was a members dog and luckily my skin is iron, so it couldn't break
through.
Wednesday, I had my patience and humility tested. It started of normal, but then
we went on splits with a member and his son. I went with the father and
then we started our night. Little did I know that I was going to get
hounded on for the next 2 1/2 hours... he's a returned missionary, so that
means he knows "everything". I guess he wanted to show me the ropes or
something, but all I wanted to do was go home after the first 15
minutes. When we got back with the other two I talked in English so they
couldn't understand me and told Elder Cowdin we needed to go home. So
we did. Good times...
We
had to drop another girl Thursday, but the spirit talked through me for
5 minutes and I told my comp that I had no idea what I said after the
lesson. It was NUTS!
Friday
we broke our record of lessons in one day! We had 7 and the max we are
able is 8 or 9 depending! I also found a tic on my hand that morning. So
we burned it and called the doctor. After Elder Cowdin got off the phone
he told me, "shut the windows... this is about to get intense". We had
to check each others bodies for more. Not quite down to the birthday
suit, but pretty close. We got pretty tight that day in our
companionship.
Sunday
was the best! We had all our investigators come to church! ALL of
them!!! And the night was even better. We had changes last night, but I
wanted nothing else but to stay here. So we waited from 9 to 9:30 in
silence for the call. We finally get it, and WE DIDN'T HAVE CHANGES!!!
This has only happened one other time in Chalco history where the
trainer and trainee stay together after training!!! We both get to
see our great investigators get baptized!!! So pretty stoked right now!
So that's what I got this week.
Stay Classy
