Good week this week! Well, no one tried to shiv and/or shank me so I guess a great week! I'm loving the center of the city right now because heaven knows there is zero work over in the other part of the area. And I'm sweatin' buckets and it feels somewhat like the Mother Land that is AZ. But I still know that nothing compares.
Tuesday was awesome! We did a ton of contacts and 4 lessons! One was with a kid who would be baptized this week!! And another was completely random and we had the lesson in a hospital with a nurse. She was cool and accepted a baptism date!!! The only problem, she lives 40 minutes away in another area. So she will go to church there and we will teach her here. Nothing crazy but a really good day!!!
Wednesday we had one really cool lesson! It was with two more kid who are brothers and also would be baptized this week! We talked with them, and their dad who isn't a member. At the end of the lesson he told us that he has only seen good come out of this and would like to hear more about it! And he finished it all off with, and if I like it I would really like to be baptized to be more united with my family! I just about vomited with shock and once I gained my composure, we took out a lesson with him. His name is Guillermo!!
Thursday was a short day. Not a lot happened. We finished our weekly planning and then went for the food. After which, we had a lesson with Sarah and Hassan!! It was a preparatory lesson for their baptism interview!!! It all went smooth except that Sarah drake coffee...What Are You Doing Sarah?! Ain't Nobody Got Time For That! But the good news is, she only forgot about it and didn't even finish her cup after she remembered! Cool beans I'd say! We finished off the day playing some soccer with some youth and then a mission leader meeting.
Friday nothing happened, except a FHE at 7 but half the family was and hour and a half late, so we didn't really have it after all. But they did feed us the whole time we were there so that was nice.
Saturday! Big Day! Big Big Day! We started off the day with primary activity which was cool! A bunch of kids were called to different missions for 2 hours and we were there to talk to them about the mission life. We pretty much nailed it, my comp and I. Especially because we didn't know we needed to have a lesson planned until we entered the room with some of the kids. Nevertheless, we nailed it. And then that night we had our 3 baptisms!! It was awesome and the water was freezing! But we got ém dunked and that's what counts!!! So last week I put a goal with the district and we would all get shirts if we completed it. It was a pretty hard goal and we completed it! 20 lessons and 250 contacts with only us four missionaries!!! BAMMY!
It was a really cool week this week and I'd like to thank you for the prayers you send my way! Next week we baptize Sarah and Hassan! Please pray for them as well!
Stay Classy
